How to improve kaspersky internet security 2010 Update speed. I’m using 1Mbps HSDPA mobile broadband connection.
Kis 2010 gets morthan 2 hours to compleat Updates, for the first time.

Please help me.

Chosen Answer:

It’s your connection. I’ve been using Kaspersky Internet Security for a few years and how fast the first update goes depends on the connection. My home connection is fast so it only takes a few minutes but I do remember when my Mom had some slow DSL service and it took a long time, maybe 30 minutes or more.

Chosen Answer:

You probably need to start with a clean setup. Avast needs a special tool to completely remove all its traces:

http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

So does Kaspersky:

http://support.kasperskyamericas.com/knowledge-base-article/1464

It is recommended that you run both before you install your KIS2011.

By the way, do you know that there’s already a KIS2012?

http://www.kaspersky.com/internet-security-2012?thru=reseller%3Dgoogle_bsphil_kis%26gclid%3DCPytwvuK8akCFQEDHAodpA-E4Q

You can use the license key for KIS2011 to activate the 2012 version. Just make sure that what you have is a KIS license key so it can only be used on a KIS product. In other words, you cannot use a KAV key to activate a KIS product or vice-versa.

and does AVG Internet Security 2012 full version have an expiry till 2018. Guys…….. please answer my question!!!!!!!

Chosen Answer:

G-data internet security 2012. Why?

Because it has dual engines instead of 1 engine like the rest. It has bitdefender engine and avast engine. The combination of both these engines gives it a near 100% detection rate and it never misses any malware sample.

Furthermore, it updates every single hour. There are 24 daily updates and over 720 updates a month. That is the largest number of updates in the industry. Meaning you have top protection against zero day threats.

don’t click on yiddish links. they are fake AV scan. This guy needs to be in jail for trying to spread malware.

And also cost. It is cheaper than kaspersky IS, AVG IS, or any other IS for that matter.

It will even block malicious websites on the browser

Unlike the others Kasperski never lets it in. it quarantines it as soon as its detected and automatically deletes it. that’s just what I’m told though, I use it and even tried it on a few porn sights, works like a charm.

I’m presently doing an online degree and feel like suing the pants off them for the stress but have to be rational. when I try to get on the web pages it says- “if you are seeing this page, your browser settings provent you from automatically directing to a new URL”. If by updating my security means this kind of problem – I think I’ll go back to Norton.
Is there any help you can give me as I don’t really know what browser settings are- never mind altering them?
When I try to get on my course, it says on the bottom of the page ‘ http://kolcourses.co.uk/shared/portal/verifBrowser.asp?1&sURL

Chosen Answer:

Go into control panel pull up add and delete , seek it out of the list and delete it . Before it clashes with any more programs.

price of kaspersky is 600 rupees for 1 year 1 pc and Eset has 999 rupees in my country
why Eset is much expensive? i can afford it just tell me which one is better to buy.
i’ve my credit card and i’m gonna buy from official site of these security companies.
i’m not in mood to put free antivirus in my pc.

Chosen Answer:

You should study the tests done to see which is better. Kaspersky was rated product of the year and some of the tests I looked at Kaspersky had quite a bit higher detection.
You can look at detection rates, removal rates and impact on performance.

http://www.av-comparatives.org/

Both products are good. Kaspersky scores much higher on removal of malware.
It’s better to research it yourself because everyone has their own product that they like and a lot of the better products get a bad rap for no good reason.
